Pitch, Hit & Run is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills.Competitors are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2009 MLB All-Star Game. The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition.All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. Learn To Be visited Pio Pico Elementary School on Thursday to set up five brand new tablets and five new audio headsets in the school's library. Students are free to go to their library to use Learn To Be's free online tutoring at any time during the day and after school.

On Tuesday, Learn To Be traveled to UC Irvine for campus recruiting. We set up our visibility table and Stephen practiced his bubble blowing skills.

Learn To Be is excited to be hosting the local Pitch, Hit, and Run baseball skills competition sponsored by Major League Baseball and Aquafina. The competition is for boys and girls ages 7-14 and includes competitions to showcase their pitching, hitting, and running abilities. The winner will move on to the Sectional competitions.
Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering for this event which will be held in April or May in the Anaheim area. Exact date and location to be determined. Registration information for participants will be available shortly. |
