The Learn To Be Foundation will be participating in the 8th Annual Walk for Hope on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at El Dorado Park in Long Beach.
The Walk for Hope is a reminder of the things that matter most in life. The purpose of the entire event is to spread more love in the world. The entire 5 kilometer route (3 miles) is decorated with inspiring quotes, all of them hand-made. You can also expect to find activity stations along the walk route.Participating charities (as of 10/15) include: American Cancer Society, Amnesty International, Be the Cause, Be The Match Marrow Registry, Childs-pace Foundation, Clarendon Foundation, Common Ground Spiritual Center, Community Action Partnership of Orange County, Corazon de Vida Foundation, Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, Donate Life, Estelle for Humanity, Expedicion Alegria - Expedition of Happiness, Helping Hand Worldwide, Invisible Children, Learn To Be Foundation, Love Without Boundaries, Manav Sadhna, NextAid, OC Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, OC Interfaith Coalition for the Environment, Peace4Kids, Rosemary Children's Services, SAHARA (South Asian Helpline and Referral Agency), Sarcoma Alliance, Seeds of Light, Spencer Hospice Foundation, Spirituality for Kids, The Africa Project, The Cameron Siemers Foundation for Hope, Tias Arms, Tony's Treehouse, and Veterans for Peace.
