Learn To Be Foundation

The Learn To Be Foundation hosted its first 5K Run/Walk this past Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Yorba Regional Park. This was the second annual charity event hosted by the Foundation.  With nearly 100 registered walkers and runner and a cadre of volunteers from the local community, the event was a huge success! The foundation raised approximately $3,000, all of which will go directly to schools in underserved areas as well as supporting the efforts of our Learn To Be tutors.  

Travis Mathiessen placed 1st in the male division followed by Adam Mekrut in 2nd and Viren Tellis in 3rd. Marianne Case, a Learn To Be tutor, won the female division as Cynthia Chin (not pictured) and Tiffany Pham placed 2nd and 3rd.
