Learn To Be Foundation

For outstanding service to our organization and education, the Learn To Be Foundation is happy to recognize Marisa Bermudez as Tutor of the Month for April 2010. Marisa is a member of our initial tutoring class and she has spent countless hours tutoring students in math and science. We are inspired by her commitment and really appreciate all of her time and dedication. Congratulations to our Tutor of the Month, Marisa!

What was your favorite subject in school?
I've always been a big fan of science.

What was your favorite childhood book?
My favorite book series is the Harry Potter series.

What is your favorite hobby?
I've always enjoyed playing soccer.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be running around playing games like baseball and roller hockey in the street during the summer.

What is your occupation?
I am a full-time student and a Resident Assistant.

What school do you currently attend?
I am currently at UCLA, but I will be graduating in June.

What do you enjoy the most about tutoring for Learn To Be?
I love helping children understand concepts, especially in math, and watching them learn and do problems on their own.
