Learn To Be Foundation

We want to take the opportunity to recognize Erika as our Tutor of the Month for May 2010. Erika is a member of our initial tutor class and has been dedicating hours of her time to tutoring for over a year. She brings positive motivation to her tutoring sessions and is a tremendous asset to the Learn To Be Foundation. Congratulations to our Tutor of the Month, Erika!  

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Anaheim, CA.

How old are you?
22.

What was your favorite subject in school?
Language Arts.

What was your favorite childhood book?
The Goosebumps series by R.L. Stine -- I still have a whole collection of them!

What is your favorite hobby?
I love to bake all types of desserts.

What is your favorite childhood memory? 
I hit the winning run for my softball team at our league championship when I was nine, and my teammates carried me off the field on their shoulders!

What is your occupation?
Right now I am working at a temp. job, but I would really like to pursue a career in Environmental Science!

What do you enjoy the most about tutoring for Learn To Be?
I really enjoy hearing students say "Oh, I get it now!" Helping a student solve a problem is so rewarding, both for the tutor and the student. And tutoring is fun!
