Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Addisyn will be 9yrs old this month. She’s a very sweet hearted person and passive. She doesn’t like drama and gets really shy when attention
Is on her. From K-2nd grade her grades has always been good honor roll. But, since starting 3rd her grades has started to go down especially her math and reading. They went from A’s to C’s I’m not sure what the big dramatic change is about. Our life is pretty much the same from her staring school ( meaning she’s the only child by me and the middle from
Her dad. she splits time with us and that’s how it always been). Teachers has told me that work from second to third grade changes but I wasn’t prepared for the results. Being this is the first year she start state testing and that it will set the tone for her years to come I’m worried if I don’t do anything now her grades will get lower and lower. Which is the pattern it has been lately. I can tell she’s staring to have an insecurity in her schoolwork and the confidence is getting lower. I’m looking to bring that light back in her and to get her the confidence she’s needs to succeed in school.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
The logic mom in me wants her to succeed in her education tremendously. Graduate high school with and associate degree and with the grades to get in the best colleges to be able to het the best education and be successful.
The emotional mom in me wants her To be able to succeed in life knowing she strives for her best with the most confidence and minimum fear possible. To obtain the knowledge she needs without allowing anyone to feed her garabage because she has educated herself on it. To be happy, loving and live a successful life in her truth with her acccomplishments.
What are you most grateful for?
The strength and courage to want better for my family despite my past.
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
My daughter needs help with math and I believe reading comprehension based off the lack of knowledge she shows when I’m assisting her with her homework. I don’t know what sub topic she needs help in with math because I truly feel it’s math in genera. Her grades are going down. Her math grade Is the worst and is not approving no matter if they are doing addition/fractions/multiplication etc. and next is here reading grade and I feel that’s more on the comprehension. She’s not understanding what’s being asked or is she’s able to eliminate info she doesn’t needs.
