Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Nathaniel is a caring 12 year old boy who puts everyone feelings before his own. He is very respectful towards his peers and adults around him but tends to struggle when it comes to his schoolwork. Sometimes this brings down his confidence and motivation. He was diagnosed with ADD and dyslexia in the 3rd grade and I've worked with Nathaniel with keeping him on task but I believe that this year has been the hardest for him. His main struggles is writing, and math. He can benefit when his work is spoken to him or when he reads out loud. My new work schedule has taken a toll on me helping him with his homework but I am doing my best. I just want him to stay on track with his schoolwork and not fall behind. He is an only child so his social life is mostly from school and some family who live in another borough. I know this program will help him get better in his subjects as well as build his confidence back up.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
