Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Noelle is 11 years old. She's sweet and shy around those she doesn't know. But, at home she's a bubbly little lady. She's caring and compassionate. She's struggled in school and so we have made some changes in our home life to better support her, and we recently changed her from a regular public school to a charter school that is giving her much more support in the areas she struggles. I'm working with her on her language arts, but I'm not very good at teaching math. We both struggle in this area especially when it comes to word problems. Noelle doesn't know where to start sometimes when trying to solve a math word problem in particular. We would be very grateful for help with math. Noelle has been growing since we have become more aware of her particular struggles and now that we have implemented a plan to help her. But, she has a ways to go, but we love her dearly and want her to success and we're up for the challenge.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
My greatest hope for Noelle educationally is that she becomes more confident in her learning ability. I pray that she develops a strong work ethic and meets challenges head on. I hope she goes on to attend college and graduate and pursue a career that she loves. Personally, that she continues to grow into a balanced, loving, caring and well adjusted young lady who cares about others. Spiritually, that she develops a relationship with the God who created her and grows into a loving woman who seeks to help those who are in need of love and care.
