Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Brianna is a bright, bubbly young 14 year old, who typically excels in her schoolwork.
She attended the same public school until fifth grade receiving honor roll. The family moved to Haiti for a year and Brianna began homeschooling. She enjoyed living in Haiti and school. Upon returning to the States she was enrolled in the same public school and attended for about a year, but at this time she felt awkward and alone, even though she had known a lot of these children since kindergarten. We were also going through a huge custody battle for her 16 year old sister. She began feeling anxiety and stress. She asked if she could be home schooled here in the States. She is currently enrolled in Indiana Virtual Academy. It is an online accredited charter school. As I said before she is doing well but needs some help in math. I am completely lost in my efforts to help her as I do not understand it myself.I believe when she feels confident in her own abilities to do her math that she will excel in this subject as well. Brianna has an older adopted 17 year old brother who has learning disorders and ADD. She also has a younger adopted sister who also has learning disorders. All children are home schooled.
Some things Brianna enjoys are reading, listening to music, movies, hanging out with friends, working behind the scenes, helping in the church nursery, skating, swimming, attending youth group, and texting or taking Snap chat photos.
