Peter is a 5th grader who needs help in Math.

Get to know Peter and his family better

Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Peter is the most kind kindhearted person I have ever met, he loves God and does his will. He is always wanting to please the people he knows because that's the way he shows them he cares. He is 10 1/2 and was diagnosed with ADD last summer. At school he was being bullied from the start, but he stuck it out till this year when it was just getting out of control. Since Jan. He has been in virtual school and he is doing much better except for math. Peter has one older sister she is 22 and lives in Miami, she comes to visit every chance she gets. If we could afford a private tutor we would get one but we can"t hardly make ends meet. Peter loves computer games like Roblox, mine craft, and Terraria where kids use their imagination and creativity to have fun. Peter also dedicates time to study the bible and loves to ride bike which he recently learned in one day! In the past 6 months he learned how to read Spanish, which is our second language, thru bible study! Peter is an amazing child full of potential and we as a family are blessed to have him.

What are your greatest hopes for your student?
My greatest hope for my son Peter is that he is happy and succeeds at anything he wants to do with his life.

What are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for the blessings that God has put in my life.

Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
Our son Peter has never been very good at math and now that we are using virtual school it is very difficult for us as parents to understand or even remember how to do any of these math problems: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions on fifth grade level. Also we need to prepare him for the state tests in math.

According to the student, how can we make the world a better place?
We can make the world a better place by following the golden rule.

What is the student's favorite book?
My favorite book is The Bible.

What does the student want to 'learn to be' when they grow up?
I don"t know what i want to be when I grow up.
