Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
My daughter started school when she was 4, she tested in for the gifted program. She has always excelled in school. So this class started out fine but it has gotten harder for her and since she skipped a couple of grades of math it is a little overwhelming for her. Their grades are based on their tests scores, so if they do not pass their tests they will not pass the class. She needs to get her grade up to pass the class before the end of the year in June. My daughter has A's in all of her other classes.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
That she can get a complete understanding of the material of this class and breeze through the rest of the year. I hate seeing her struggle so much and not being able to help her with this subject.
What are you most grateful for?
That my daughter is a great kid and really very, very bright and so far has done outstanding in school since she started. I am truly proud of her.
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
My daughter is in 7th grade and she is in a high school Algebra class. So the transition has been a little tough since it is a highly condensed class and I am not all good in math. She has always been a straight A student and in higher classes. She will be able to explain the areas in which she needs help to pass the tests to get her grade up.
According to the student, how can we make the world a better place?
By caring for one another and treating each other with respect.
What is the student's favorite book?
Has several favorites, is in gifted ELA.
What does the student want to 'learn to be' when they grow up?
A scientist, or maybe a doctor, or maybe a baker, not sure.
