Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Nailah is a very energetic and the social butterfly of all our kids. She is very active in Girls Scouts, theater and choir. She is the youngest girl but has a younger brother and three older siblings. Nailah is a great student and has done a good job thus far while in middle school but as the concepts of Math continue to advance and change, we see that she is struggling a great deal. She is a hard worker and very responsible but tends to get very frustrated and hopeless when we try to help and she still does not understand.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
My hopes is Nailah would not only understand Math better but she would have more confidence in the subject. I think she can do anything she puts her mind to, she just needs help.
What are you most grateful for?
Thankful to God for the gift of life and family. I'm grateful for my children and wonderful people who take their time and efforts to teach and help them learn and grow.
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
My daughter needs help with learning the concepts of geometry and pre-algebra.
According to the student, how can we make the world a better place?
The world could be a better place if it were safer and there were less guns.
What is the student's favorite book?
Friends with boys
What does the student want to 'learn to be' when they grow up?
