Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Tay'veon is a very interesting Kid. He is the older brother, wait ... THE BEST OLDER BROTHER to his 3 year old sister, which he spoils. He is a funny and goofy little 7 year old boy with BIG ambitions and an even bigger heart. Tay'veon was diagnosed with ADD in Kindergarten which seems to only be triggered when he is bored at school, or has a lack of activities to do. We currently live in a School District where they do not participate in the No child Left behind Program, and no Tutoring unless its paid 100 dollars a week, which i can NOT pay, as i am a single parent raising my kids alone. We moved here 3 years ago from California by ourselves. I work 12 hr shifts from 6am to 6:45pm 4 days a week but i dont want to put my son's education on the line because we have no resources. He went from a 92 to a 78 and I am worried he might be at risk for retention all because he isnt getting th education he deserves or the extra help he needs.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
That he graduates high school unlike any of the males on his father's side of the family. That he is more confident and not EVER scared that he has a wrong answer. That he becomes exactly what he wants to be and do everything I can to help him get there. To be the best man he can become .
What are you most grateful for?
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
It seems like my son is having a REALLY HARD TIME understanding phonics and because of that he is always unsure of himself. He tends to make mistakes during independent time alone because he isnt confident in what he knows. He doesnt get homework sent home, and the classrooms are so hectic he doesnt get enough time independently to catch up.
According to the student, how can we make the world a better place?
By Doing Good Things
What is the student's favorite book?
