Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Myron is a bright compassionate and funny kid. He loves spending time with his family and telling knock knock jokes. he lives in a big split level house with his mother, sister age 11, his aunt, grandmother, guinea pig and dog. It's been a hard year and a half with struggling to find why he "hates school" so much. We found out that he has what is called an adjustment disorder with anxiety as well as some pretty significant sensory avoiding issues which as you can imagine can make school a pretty undesirable place for a 8 year old child. He has been suspended multiple times and i'm at a loss of what to do now.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
i would love for him to see learning as a fun and exciting thing. instead of associating learning with what he cant do or that he hates
