Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Za'Vyair is 6 year old boy with one older brother (9), one older sister (8) which are in 4th and 3rd grade, and a younger sister on the way. He looks forward to becoming a firefighter as he progresses past his childhood. He loves to play with others, but sometimes struggles with being friendly which makes it difficult for his school work. He tends to worry about others and what they are doing more than himself. He loves his mother gracefully. He likes school and he loves to learn. He has a disorder that has to do with change, but he can settle in most of the time. He struggles with reading (he doesn't know how to read fully on his own) and math. He doesn't know how to fully work independently, he always seems to need extra reassurance. I am a stay at home Mom in college, but I volunteer at his school from time or time which allows me to be able to sit in his class. His teacher sometimes complains about his angry outburst and lashing out on others.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
My greatest hopes would be that he is able to work independently and have the confidence he needs with his work. I want to know that he can read at his age and on his level, as well as, complete his math without help.
What are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for the love of my son. Despite his flaws in his work, he knows how to make bad day peaceful.
