Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Elijah is a sensitive and caring 13 year old. He has great intentions that I believe are hampered by an attention problem. While he has been tested and cleared for ADHD or ADD he still struggles with a low attention span. He has a 15 year old sister who is in honors classes and who he idolizes. He tries so hard to be on the honors roll and we try so hard to motivate him in every way we could.
Our schedules are really tough. His father works closer and has taken up most of the household responsibilities while my long commute to and from work only allows me to pick up just a little of the slack.
He needs as much help as he could get because I believe he could overcome his issues. We have done tutoring over the years in addition to free tutoring at school which has helped. Here's hoping that this will help supplement him during the summer and even provide supplementation beyond that.
