Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
My daughters name is Adriana Robles, she is eight years old and just started her third grade school year. Adriana has always had a difficult time in school. Although she does love going to school, her report cards always reflects "2's" and "3's", Mostly "2's". Her 1st grade year started off slow, however, after meeting with her teacher and committing to a goal we all worked together and Adriana made amazing strides. She went from only knowing a hand full of her sight words to successfully reading and spelling all required sight words for her year. Second grade was not as successful, the entire year we felt as if she was simply drifting and not grasping most of the concept. We started this school year very hopeful and optimistic, however, that quickly changed when I recently met her teacher for parent teacher conference. She is so behind in all aspects I was in shock. Desperate and with tears in my eyes, I asked the teacher for resources and tutoring service referrals, but she was very little help. After doing my own research, I quickly found out local tutoring services are very expensive and I am just not financially able to afford it. Finally, I came across Learn To Be and I hope this is the tool that will help Adriana reach her full potential and gain her confidence.
