Please describe your student and why you qualify for tutoring.
Lisiana is 8 and will be turning 9 July 12th. She's very shy but opens up once she gets comfortable around you. She's the oldest sibling to a brother (David) and baby sister (Luna). I try as much as I can to help Lisiana excel in her studies as I have 2 other children that need my help. It has been a struggle but I know she tries to do her best. I know that this program can help my daughter not only pass the 3rd grade but give her the confidence she needs to like reading.
What are your greatest hopes for your student?
I hope that Lisiana knows no matter what I will always care about where she is going in life and I will never let her fail. We will work hard together.
What are you most grateful for?
I'm grateful for family, health, and love.
Please describe specifically what your student needs help with.
My daughter Lisiana has been getting extra help at school for reading but has still been struggling. She gets discouraged when she has to sound out bigger words such as unsinkable. The teacher has sent home a letter stating she will have to go to summer classes to be able to pass the 3rd grade starting July 9th-Aug 10th. I want to get my daughter as much help that I can so that she can succeed in her academics. I also believe that the transition of tranfering schools in the second term she has always struggled to catch up with the curriculum.
