Turkey was a silly bird who loved to run. He would gobble and flap his wings, racing through the farm as fast as he could.
One day, Turkey heard the farmer talking about Thanksgiving dinner. "Oh no!" cried Turkey. "I don't want to be cooked for dinner!"
Turkey knew he had to run away to escape the oven. So he flapped his wings and dashed out of the farm, determined to find a safe hiding spot.
Turkey ran and ran, until he found a cozy hollow tree to hide in. "Ah, this is perfect!" he gobbled happily. "The farmer will never find me here!"
As the days went by, Turkey got used to his new home. He would peek out of the tree, happy to be free and safe from the Thanksgiving feast.
From then on, Turkey lived happily in the hollow tree, gobbling and flapping his wings whenever he felt like running. He was so glad he had escaped being the main course!
