The Mystery of the Missing Gifts

Lily's friend Emma noticed that the kitchen window was open. "Maybe the presents fell out?" she said. But Lily didn't think that was it. She knew there was a mystery to solve.

The friends searched high and low, but they couldn't find the missing gifts. "This is so strange!" said Lily. "I wonder who could have taken them."

Just then, Lily's dog Buddy came running in, wagging his tail. He had a piece of wrapping paper in his mouth. "Buddy, did you see what happened?" Lily asked.

Buddy led the friends to the backyard, where they found the missing presents! "Buddy must have seen the thief and chased them away," said Emma. The friends were relieved to have the gifts back.

As they opened the presents, Lily's mom brought out the birthday cake. "Three cheers for the birthday girl!" the friends shouted. Lily smiled, glad that her mystery was solved and her party could continue.

After the party, Lily and her friends cleaned up the backyard. "I'm so glad Buddy helped us find the presents," said Lily. "He's the best detective ever!"

Lily's mom came out to check on the clean-up. "I'm proud of you all for working together to solve the mystery," she said. "Now let's have some leftover pizza!"

The friends enjoyed the last of the pizza, feeling satisfied that they had cracked the case. "This was the best birthday ever!" Lily exclaimed. She couldn't wait to tell her other friends about the mystery of the missing gifts.

From that day on, Lily's friends always knew that they could count on Buddy to help solve any mystery that came their way. The pizza party was a success, and Lily had the best birthday ever!
