Ronald Thompson was a curious third-grader who loved solving mysteries. One day, as he sat down to enjoy his peanut butter and jelly sandwich, he noticed that his lunchbox was gone! "Oh no, my lunch is missing!" he cried.
Determined to find the culprit, Ronald began investigating. He checked all the usual spots, but his lunchbox was nowhere to be found. He asked his friends if they had seen it, but they were just as puzzled as he was.
Suddenly, Ronald spotted a trail of crumbs leading to the corner of the classroom. He followed the trail and found his lunchbox, completely empty! "Aha, I've caught the thief!" he exclaimed.
Ronald's teacher, Mrs. Jenkins, came over to see what all the commotion was about. "What's going on, Ronald?" she asked. Ronald explained the mystery and showed her the empty lunchbox.
Mrs. Jenkins couldn't help but chuckle. "It seems our class pet, Nibbles the hamster, has been enjoying your lunch. He must have been very hungry today!" Ronald was relieved to find the culprit and learned an important lesson about keeping his food safe from mischievous animals.
