The Mystery of the Missing Toy

Lily searched high and low, but Teddy was gone. "Where could he be?" she wondered. Suddenly, Lily heard a strange noise coming from the closet.

Carefully, Lily opened the closet door and peeked inside. To her surprise, she found Teddy sitting on the shelf, but he wasn't alone. Next to him was a small, furry creature with big ears and a long tail.

"It's a mouse!" Lily exclaimed. The mouse looked up at her and squeaked. Lily realized the mouse must have taken Teddy to keep him company. She carefully picked up Teddy and the mouse and carried them back to her room.

Lily placed Teddy and the mouse on her bed. She decided to keep the mouse as a new friend and named him Squeaky. From that day on, Lily, Teddy, and Squeaky were the best of friends, and they never let each other out of their sight.
