Giya sat on her balcony on a sunny Saturday afternoon, drawing colorful pictures with chalk. She created flowers, rainbows, and happy faces across the white concrete. Her three cats, Gordita, Cake, and Cupcake, watched from nearby, their tails swishing with curiosity.
"Gordita, come lay in the chalk!" called Cake and Cupcake together. The calico cat shook her head. "No way! I'll get in trouble with Giya!" But her mischievous siblings kept pestering her. Finally, Gordita gave in and rolled around in the bright blue chalk. "Don't worry," Cake promised. "We'll wash it right off!" They didn't know the chalk would stick to her fur like glue.
After the cats slipped inside, Giya stepped away to get a snack. That's when Gordita's nose twitched. She spotted a pile of colorful Lego flowers on the floor, and her hunger kicked in. Munch, munch, munch! The little plastic pieces crunched between her teeth as she gobbled them up.
"What was that crunching sound?" Giya wondered, walking back to the living room. She gasped when she saw Gordita covered in blue chalk on both sides of her furry body and all over her face. But that wasn't all—the calico cat's whiskers were covered in plastic pieces from the Lego flowers.
Giya laughed so hard she could barely breathe. Gordita looked like a blue alien kitten! Though she had to give her naughty cat a bath, Giya couldn't stay mad. Her sweet Gordita had created quite the adventure—and quite the mess!
