Wally was a happy watermelon who lived in a sunny garden. He loved being outside more than anything in the world. Every day, Wally would wiggle with joy.
One sunny morning, Wally rolled out of his patch. "I want to see what's beyond the garden!" he said with a giggle. Off he went, bouncing down the path.
Wally rolled into the park and saw a slide. "How funny!" he laughed. "I'm a watermelon on wheels!" He zoomed down the slide super fast.
Next, Wally met a silly duck named Quackers. "Why is a watermelon rolling around?" asked Quackers, looking confused. Wally laughed so hard he nearly split in half!
Wally and Quackers played tag by the pond. Splash! Wally rolled right into the water. "Brrr, I'm a cold watermelon now!" he shouted happily.
A butterfly landed on Wally's bumpy skin. "You're smooth and round and green," said the butterfly. "I love this outside spot!"they said together.
The sun started to set, and the sky turned orange and pink. Wally realized he missed his garden friends very much. "It's time to go home," he decided.
Wally rolled back down the path, leaving a silly trail of giggles behind. The park had been so much fun, but home was best. His patch was waiting for him.
When Wally returned, his garden friends cheered loudly. "We missed you, Wally!" they shouted with excitement. Wally was so happy to be home.
Wally settled back into his favorite sunny spot. He had the biggest, silliest smile on his round green face. Tomorrow, he'd have another outdoor adventure!
