It was a bright and sunny morning when little Emma woke up, excited for her first day of kindergarten. She quickly got dressed, ate a yummy breakfast, and headed off to school with her mom.

When Emma arrived at the big school building, she felt a little nervous, but the friendly principal greeted her with a warm smile. "Welcome to our school!" he said. "You're going to have so much fun learning and making new friends."

Emma's teacher, Mrs. Smith, showed her to her new desk and introduced her to the other students. "Can I see your Gat-e-y?" asked a boy named Liam. Emma wasn't sure what he meant, but she smiled and said, "Sure!" as she unpacked her backpack.

Throughout the day, Emma participated in all the fun activities, from singing songs to playing with blocks. She even raised her hand to answer questions, feeling proud when Mrs. Smith praised her. At lunchtime, Emma sat with Liam and a few other kids, and they all shared their favorite snacks.
