Monroe loved basketball more than anything. Every day after school, he would race to the local court, ball in hand, ready to shoot some hoops. His friends Jack and Miguel would often join him, and they would spend hours playing together, their laughter echoing through the neighborhood.
One day, as Monroe was dribbling the ball down the court, he noticed a group of older kids staring at him. They seemed impressed by his skills, and one of them, a tall boy named Trent, approached him.
"Hey, you're pretty good," Trent said. "We're having a big game tomorrow at the park. You should come and play with us."
Monroe's heart raced with excitement. Playing with the older kids would be a dream come true. He eagerly agreed, and the next day, he found himself on the court, surrounded by players who were much taller and more experienced than him.
