Monroe was a curious fourth-grader who loved solving puzzles and mysteries. One sunny day, he couldn't find his favorite pair of sunglasses, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it.
Monroe asked his best friends, Phil and Jude, to help him search the house. They looked everywhere, from the kitchen counter to the back porch, but the sunglasses were nowhere to be found. Monroe was getting frustrated, but Phil and Jude refused to give up.
"Maybe someone took them by accident," suggested Jude. "Let's retrace our steps and see if we can find any clues."
The three friends scoured the house, checking every room and even the garage. As they were searching, they noticed that Monroe's dog, Buddy, was acting strangely. He kept sniffing around the living room and whining.
"Buddy, do you know something we don't?" asked Phil, kneeling down to pet the pup.
Suddenly, Buddy dashed over to the couch and started pawing at the cushions. Monroe and his friends rushed over, and to their surprise, there were the missing sunglasses, buried deep between the cushions!
"Buddy must have hidden them there," said Monroe, relieved to have found his prized possession. "Good boy, Buddy!"
The friends laughed and hugged Buddy, grateful for his help in solving the mystery of the missing sunglasses. From that day on, Monroe made sure to keep a close eye on his belongings, and he always knew he could count on his loyal dog and trusted friends to help him out.
