Paying Attention in Class

It was the first day of school for Sarah, a bright-eyed kindergartener. She was excited to learn new things and make new friends. When the teacher, Mrs. Smith, began the lesson, Sarah made sure to listen carefully.

Mrs. Smith talked about the alphabet and how important it was to know the letters. Sarah watched closely as the teacher wrote the letters on the board. She tried her best to remember each one, so she could practice at home.

Next, Mrs. Smith read a story about a curious little puppy. Sarah's eyes were glued to the book, and she giggled at the funny parts. She couldn't wait to tell her parents all about the story when she got home.
