Charis loved watching her favorite movie, Lelo and Stitch, every day. She knew all the words and could even read some of the simple sight words on the screen.
One day, Charis had an idea. She wanted to make her own Lelo and Stitch story book to read along with the movie. She got to work right away.
First, Charis wrote down some simple CVC and CVCC words that she had been practicing, like "hat," "cat," and "dog." She wanted to include them in her story.
Next, Charis drew pictures of Lelo, Stitch, and their friends. She colored them in bright, happy colors.
Charis carefully wrote a few sentences on each page, describing what was happening in her story. She read them out loud to make sure they were easy to read.
When Charis finished her story book, she was so proud. She couldn't wait to read it while watching her favorite movie, Lelo and Stitch.
