It was Christmas Eve and Santa was getting ready for his big night of delivering presents to all the good boys and girls. But before he could get started, he had a very important task to take care of - eating all the cookies left out for him!
Santa loved all kinds of cookies, but his favorite was chocolate chip. He gobbled up plate after plate, making sure not to leave a single crumb behind. His belly was getting fuller and fuller with each tasty treat.
After eating what felt like hundreds of cookies, Santa let out a big "HIC!" He patted his belly and realized he might have overdone it a little. But he still had so many houses to visit!
As Santa got into his sleigh, he felt a strange rumbling in his tummy. "Uh oh," he thought. "I think all those cookies are going to give me a tummy ache!"
But Santa didn't let that stop him. He flew through the sky, delivering presents to all the good children. Every time he ate another cookie, his tummy would grumble and gurgle.
By the time Santa reached the last house, he could barely keep his eyes open. He quickly gobbled down the last few cookies and headed back to the North Pole.
As Santa climbed into his cozy bed, he let out a big sigh. "I guess I got a little carried away with the cookies this year," he said. "But it was all worth it to see the smiles on the children's faces!"
From that day on, Santa made sure to pace himself when it came to Christmas cookies. He still loved them, but he knew it was important to save room for the big feast waiting for him back home.
