I have been volunteering at Learn To Be for close to an year now. I have to say that helping other kids and fellow students with their academics has been so rewarding for me in many ways. It is so satisfying to help someone with their lessons and see the progress they are making. It helped me be more empathetic and teaching someone helped reinforce my own concepts since I had to prepare in advance for the learning sessions. Also, it improved my communication skills and become organized with my routine. Most of all, teaching/helping someone has a personal touch to it. And, forming the relationship with your student is in itself very rewarding. Overall, I would highly recommend volunteering as a Tutor with Learn To Be for all you looking to meaningfully contribute to the community
