Tutoring with Learn To Be has been one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had. Over the past year and a half, I’ve spent more than 200 hours working with students from 1st to 6th grade in a variety of subjects (mostly in math and reading). What started as a way to give back has grown into something I truly look forward to every week.

Learn To Be has connected me with students who remind me why learning matters. The confidence that comes from understanding something new is so important to see in students of all ages. Watching my students' faces light up when a tricky concept clicks has been incredibly rewarding. Tutoring, of course, has also taught me the power of patience and encouragement.

Something I find particularly amazing about Learn To Be is the fact that tutors are able to develop a close bond with their students and make tutoring feel personal for both the tutor and the student. I've found that I love spending time with my students because of the deeper connections Learn To Be has helped facilitate.

I’m endlessly grateful for this platform and the community behind it. As a junior in high school, I’ve learned just as much from my students as they’ve learned from me, and I’m thankful to be part of a program that makes education more accessible for everyone.
