For the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving as a volunteer tutor with Learn To Be. During this time, I have worked with a number of students from diverse backgrounds. Many of these students come from families facing financial challenges and cannot afford private tutoring, which makes Learn To Be’s mission especially meaningful. It has been a truly rewarding experience to step in and help bridge that gap by providing guidance, encouragement, and academic support to students who need it most.  

Among all the students I have worked with, my experience with Zion stands out as one of the most gratifying. From the beginning, he showed steady progress, a growing sense of confidence, and genuine dedication to improving his skills. His strong performance on the state test was a proud moment, and it reaffirmed for me the power of consistent mentorship and encouragement. Watching Zion succeed has been both inspiring and humbling—it reminded me why I chose to volunteer in the first place. 

Overall, my journey with Learn To Be has been one of both personal and professional growth. It brings me great joy to know that my time and effort have helped students blossom academically and gain confidence in their abilities. I am deeply grateful to be part of an organization that creates real educational opportunities for students who might otherwise be left behind, and I look forward to continuing to support this mission in any way I can.
