I am a single mother my son Bradley is 14 years old he just graduated from a catholic middle school, he took a test to enter a Catholic high school and he didn’t pass the required reading and writing test, I felt bad because I thought he was well educated and prepared from the school but for my surprise according to the high school he need to learn more reading and writing. I was looking for tutoring there are lots of them but I can’t afford them because is very expensive. desperately I googled is there any program or free tutoring for 8 or 9 grade to help with tutoring? and learn to be come up, I read the instructions and feel up the application I suppose to pay some amount for moth I submitted the application and got the answer a day later than I was qualified I was very happy, then I get an email saying that a tutor will communicate with me I waited 2 weeks and didn’t hear anything I wrote again are you going to help me? the answer back a tutor will reach you soon, I waited another week finally I got an email saying your son qualified for free tutoring. a tutor Jessica Davis will reached out to you soon, 3 days later I got a text message saying Hi my name is Jessica I am the tutor that will help Bradley out with his reading and writing can we set up the schedule sections, yes we can we did it it was a little complicated because of the time difference but we worked it out, the first day she and Bradley introduced them self, I was close and listen, Jessica sounded very nice and sweet person, I know that My son really liked the way she talked to him they had the first meeting and Bradley said she is very nice I think she and I will get along I like the way she spoke to me and the way she started teaching me, I wrote to Jessica and let her know how Bradly feels and she also said that she feels good with him too, since then Bradley is doing everything she asked him to do, reading and writing and I take pictures of the work and send it to her, I am thankful and grateful to learn about this program and with the help Bradley is getting.
English is my second language, I grow up in Guatemala I was not able to finish high school the little English that I know is because of the help of wonderful people and free programs like learn to be, with out the free help I wouldn’t be able to learn what I know but not as much as I wish because I can’t help my son more than I could.that’s why I want to thank you the program for the help and support I am getting I don’t have money to pay but instead I pray to God for all and every one of you who sponsor the program.
I don’t know exactly how learn to be started and how the tutors get paid or they donate their time? about Jessica I was impacted by her energy and the effort she put into the tutoring and the arrangement of schedules I hope she is happy and wanted to continue helping my son she is an amazing person and tutor we really appreciate her, thank you Jessica and Micah and everyone else God bless you all with much appreciation.Veronica Carrillo!
