I think one of the biggest things that has kept me coming back is my student, Rahil. She was my first ever student once I joined LTB, and I think we are a perfect match for each other. Her bubbly, energetic personality brings something new to our class every day. No matter what, she will always have a story or two to tell me (to try and escape doing anything productive), but it always lightens up our classes. Her silliness is something I look forward to seeing, and I love being able to reciprocate. A lot of the time, teaching her doesn't feel like a job, but a fun part of my day! Also, once I started adding more students, I found different things in each of them that kept me attached and determined to help them grow.
Looking back, tutoring has taught me the importance of consistency, dedication, and patience. No two days were the same with my students, depending on their (or my) mood, previous events in the day, etc. But, being consistent with our tutoring sessions was important, to the point where I started to visibly see growth in all my students.
Overall, LTB has been a super amazing part of my life and I'm so so glad I became a tutor with y'all!
