I wanted to say that as a homeschool mom, it has been difficult catching my children up to their appropriate grade level in reading. One of my daughters is in 3rd grade but suffered tremendously when in public school. She had such an issue with learning phonics and it was such a discouragement.
Ever since we started tutoring, reading has improved. She has gone from forgetting letter sounds and having cry spells about not knowing how to read to feeling confident about reading because of her tutor. My daughter has brought me books that she has read. Has gotten excited about reading, and tutoring. It is something she looks forward to every Tuesday and Thursday.
We recently went on Fall Break and she and my son protested when I said that I was relieving the tutors because it's a Week off from school. They both look forward to their sessions and are now excited about learning and I can't help but be thankful about the services I receive at Learn To Be. Our tutor is definitely on my Christmas list for Faith to send some sort of gift to. Most likely a drawing or something that shows she cares, because she is so grateful for her in her learning journey.
