I've been tutoring Zamir for two years. We work on science, math, and reading. He has had struggles in all those subjects. Each week we focus on all three. I was able to research and find the curriculum for fifth graders in his state and used that information to create a website where we do a science lesson a week. Then, we review the science lesson the second time we meet in the week. I include videos, images, and references to other resources in the lesson plans. We faced challenges with devices and although he's been sent another computer he was using his cell phone for a while. The website was cell phone friendly, and he could share his screen with me. We also utilize white board for completing math. Zamir is more confident. He prides himself on his dedication to his tutoring and honors our time together by being on time and focusing when we're working together. He has learned the basics he needs to complete harder math problems and has become a wiz at math. His reading skills have improved, and he's loving science. Working with Zamir and watching him grow for two years has been an honor and I'm very happy being his tutor.
