Learn to Be is an incredible resource I think everyone should be aware of. It's really changed my perspective on teaching and has helped me create so many unforgettable memories with the sweetest and funniest girl I tutor. I've loved watching her grow over the 6 or so months I've been tutoring her and it's helped me grow as a person emotionally. Learn to Be has taught me lessons in responsibility, kindness and respect for educators who devote themselves to teaching the next generation.
About half the kids in this country can't read. Our tutors are changing that. You can too. When we teach kids to read, they don't just get to enjoy Harry Potter. They start to do better in math and science as well. They graduate from high school more frequently. They're able to read the application for that job they want. They gain confidence and dignity. They learn about the world about them. And they get to be a part of changing that world for the better.
