Feeling extra ambitious? Start a local community chapter or a citywide chapter. Maybe you're a retired teacher and you want to start a chapter of retired teachers! However you want to recruit a group of tutors to work together, we're in!

What are PVSA Certifying Organizations?

To receive a PVSA you need to volunteer for a Certifying organization like Learn To Be. Certifying organizations verify volunteer hours, take the Certifying Organization e-course, conduct their business ethically and maintain a database for volunteer information. Not every volunteer organization is a PVSA Certifying Organization.

What are the tiers of the PVSA?

PVSAs have four levels: bronze, silver, gold, and lifetime. Each tier recognizes each milestone of your service achievement. The number of hours for each tier varies by age.

How do you earn the PVSA?

Volunteer hours must be unpaid and completed for a Certifying Organization. The number of hours required varies based on age. At Learn To Be, we make it easy to track your hours by logging them for you. Once you have earned the required number of hours, submit them to the PVSA organization for review.
